Imagine, a beautiful blue and white table in the midst of olive groves sampling famous olive oil with the guidance of a multi-gold winner olive oil producer. Then on to fabulous wine tasting under her direction. She even secured a same-day doctor appointment for my son’s ear infection. She goes above and beyond. I spend a great day on beautiful Hvar with Zorana. I was mostly focused on Split on my business trip. Hvar was a special surprise, thanks to Debonda. The culture, the many historic sites and the hardworking mentality of the people. You sense how proud Zorana is of the island and its people, i loved how she told us about about how she worked in the lavender fields as a child. She claims lavender is a cure for almost everything, don't know if thats true. But it was an honor listening to her tell her stories.

Some of the day’s highlights included a visit to the highest point on the island for breathtaking views and a stop at the lavender fields. Although they weren’t in bloom, we could still see the plants and breathe in the scent of the dried blossoms. Zorana shared how, since childhood, she’s spent two weeks each summer helping with the lavender harvest — a glimpse into a cherished local tradition. To top it off, she arranged a private, authentic meal at Terra Arhaica, a local family’s ancestral home. There, we heard stories about their history, farming practices, and deep connection to the land. The meal, made up of multiple Croatian specialties, was prepared and served with genuine love and pride. Zorana returned us to our hotel with full bellies and even fuller hearts, leaving us with a deep appreciation for Hvar, its people, and its traditions. This was easily one of the most memorable experiences of our trip — a must-do if you want to see the island through the eyes of someone who truly loves and understands it.

Zorana, a bright and bubbly young lady, founder of the Debonda Travelling company, entertained us for a 3+ hr tour of interesting places and very good information. She did not rush us and took time for detail and explanation of everything she showed us. As well as her perfect English she was humorous and often cracking jokes. Her spotlessly clean car with aircon made is so comfortable. We saw amazing sites, views, wild Lavendar fields, Dry Stone Park, Stari Grad oldest town in Croatia, and the Petar Hektorovic residence, a must see place. It truly was a perfect private tour and is highly recommended. Were very much enjoyed your guided tour Zorana.

The tour organized by Zorana was such a delight. From Croatian wine and culinary experiences to an afternoon exploring the islands via private boat, our trip to Hvar Island was such a memorable time thanks to her! Can’t wait to go back!
